hello i have a kindle that needs a new firmware, along the path of fixing i made a fastboot cable, pc wasn’t able to detect the device at first however, if i push the plug into the kindle, it gets recognized as tate pvt 8, which is good but when i use the adb drivers for it, i get “this device cannot start error 10”, im going to try on a fresh install of windows then linux, if the problem persists i may change the usb port whats ur input, will this be useful and not a waste of time ??
I had to look up fastboot cable. Read your original post also…. Looks like you got the cable working already on the android side. I have had better luck using adb on linux PCs instead of having to mess with windows USB drivers. Others will no doubt have other opinions. Also noticed that some folks opinion is that an incorrectly wired fastboot cable can cause damage that is more difficult to fix … rendering reflashing with said cable impossible perhaps.
