I tried to plug in my headphones and touched another port. As soon as the metal tip touched the other Port my computer turned off immediately and will not turn back on. No power buttons are on. Is this an expensive fix or something I can do.
@stacyedwards depends on what other port you touched and which part got shorted out. you will at minimum need to look at it. Check the motherboard for any obviously damaged components etc. Then you need to identify the motherboard. There will usually be a maker and model number silkscreened on the motherboard. Let us know what you find on that.
