I pressed the power button to resume my laptop from sleep, the blue lights on the machine indicated that it does wake up, but the screen is not working. I pressed the power button again to turn it off. And then turn it on again, the screen shows this, DELL Inspiron 1525 series  BIOS Revision A16 After that, the screen turns black, doesn’t show anything. But I can hear the Windows sound (Windows log in sound). I take the battery out and put it back in, then turn on the laptop, the screen is still not working. I repeat these steps, still got the same issues. My laptop is Dell Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU T2390 @ 1.86GHz 1.87 GHz Windows 10 How to fix this problem?

Have you tried to connect a separate display to the laptop? If that doesn’t work, it sounds new enough that you could get the warranty to cover it. If not, and the screen works when it’s on a separate screen try to see if the screen connector cable is inserted properly

Hi @awtech , If you can see images when using a flashlight this indicates that you have a backlight problem. This could be caused by a faulty or loose inverter cable, a faulty inverter board or a faulty LCD panel. Here’s a link to the service manual for the laptop. Scroll to p.21 to view the location of the inverter cable. Here’s a link to a video that shows how to replace the inverter board. (view it in conjunction with the service manual on how to remove the display assembly) Here’s a link to a supplier of a replacement inverter board for your laptop. It is shown just to give you an idea of the cost of the part. There are other suppliers online that may suit you better. Hopefully this is of some help.
