hello community i have an Asus vivobook X542UN i took it to a repair shop to upgrade my ssd (so this happened after it was opened) and now the laptol only runs on the charger and turns off immediately if i unplug it the battery is almost new and it ran like a charme before it was opened the repair shop wouldn’t take responsibility for what happened so im trying to fix this myself now, what might be the problem and how do i fix it ? thank you
@alsetalokin make sure that everything was connected properly and that the battery is charged. Use a multimeter and check that the AC adapter works properly. Let us know what you find after you check all that.
There is a two white metal screws near under the RAM cover, One of them makes contact on two tracks of main board and it is must be there to run on battery! Update (01/24/2023)
Well I will suggest you the following: Change Advanced Power settings.Run the Power Troubleshooter.Hard/Power reset your laptop.Update the battery drivers using a good driver updater software .Update the BIOS.
