Hi, I’m unable to connect my Acer Aspire 5734Z to our Deco M4 mesh WiFi network which our TV, tablet, phones have no problem connecting to. I’ve tried running network diagnostics, rebooted the router as instructed but no go - any suggestions?

Hi, Try to manually reset the laptop’s network adapters using Command input and check if you can successfully connect afterwards. Here’s how to do this in the laptop. Type command in the search box at the bottom of the Start Menu, and then right click on Command Prompt when it appears in the results. (command doesn’t have to be typed in bold. I didn’t want to add quotation marks so as not to confuse) Click on Run as Administrator. In the command window type the following 5 commands, one at a time and press the Enter key after each command entry. Yes there is a space inserted between each of the words and also before but not after the / symbol If you make a typing mistake you have to use the backspace key to go back and retype all the letters you have deleted. Old style computer entry ;-) netsh winsock reset netsh int ip reset ipconfig /release ipconfig /renew ipconfig /flushdns Close the command window and restart the laptop When it has restarted try to connect to the network. You will have to enter network password details again etc.
