Hi. Tonight I replaced the front panel of my brothers iPad mini 2, ensuring to disconnect the battery before unplugging the LCD and Front panel, yet upon reassembly, the LCD backlight is no longer working. I am aware that unplugging the LCD with the battery connected often blows the backlight fuse, but I made sure to unplug the battery first. Could any of you advise what could have gone wrong?
We have a backlight troubleshooting guide. see if this is any use for you: iPhone Backlight Not Working
Any chance you damaged the LCD removing it?
You may have already done this but unplug, clean and replug in all the connectors in. Happened to me before on iPhone, dust or something must’ve got into the connector. If that doesn’t work I’m not sure what to suggest.
