My Iphone was soaked in the rain and I guess some water got into it. At first, the screen had vertical lines all over, so I turned it off, separated the screen from the body and dried it off in front of a fan. After about 3 hours, I reconnected the screen and turned it back on. The vertical lines are completely gone, and the touch ID works too but the touch screen doesn’t work so I can’t unlock my phone upon startup because I need to use my passcode. The touch screen doesn’t respond to my touch. The screen is bright and clear, and the touch ID works. It’s just the touch screen that is unresponsive. What should I do? Thank you.
Sounds like the screen will need to be replaced, the digitizer (touch screen) on the screen most likely has gotten liquid damaged and that can’t be fixed without replacing the screen. iPhone 7 Plus Screen Replacement iPhone 7 Plus Screen
Replace the screen with a new one and let us know the outcome Once water hits a phone the screen and battery usualy are the first to go I be careful using the battery that was in it Get a new one
