Hello everyone, I have a problem with letter “L”. It once works, once not. It is very random. What I had done was cleaning all the mess around EACH cap, because there was written somehwere on FixIt this may be a problem. I though that I had fixed the problem because key started to work properly, but unfortunately not. Right now I’m typing “L” using keyboard emulation. What I know… (oh right now “L” started to work properly!). I have no idea what is going on… Noone was spilled on it and battery has about 600 cycles. I’m awaiting for your advice !
Are you a heavy L key user? If you are then you may only need to replace the given keys parts Key caps & scissor parts If you had a spill or you are a heavy cleaner with spray or wet wipes the keyboard could be damaged at which point you’ll need a new one https://www.ifixit.com/Store/Mac/MacBook… ITs a bit of work! You’ll need to follow post of this guide MacBook Pro 13" Unibody Mid 2012 Upper Case Replacement to get to the inside area to remove the keyboard. Its under the black sheet and the keyboard backlight. Its held down with screws and rivets.
