I have an LG 55LS4500 - made in 2012. One day the TV decided to not turn on display. I press the power button, the red light blinks 3 times then the TV turns on for about 1 second then turns off. I repeat the process and it continues to happen. Here are some things I’ve already tried and nothing helped. Unplugged from outlet and TV for over 1 day then plugged it in back.Changed the outlet (per LG support)Unplugged, pressed the power for 10+ seconds, plugged back in and turned on (per LG support) I called a local tech repair shop and they offered to do a diagnostic on the TV for $55 and the cost of diagnostic will go towards repair if it can be fixed. I want to know from the communities experience is this worth to fix? Can I fix it myself? I have very little experience with welding or anything of that sort, but I’m willing to get my hands dirty. I don’t want to drop so much money, I took this from someone who was about to throw it out, I wanted to see if I can fix it and use it as a guest TV. PS: I opened the back shell of the TV and what looks like the “processor/motherboard” there’s a red LED light that blinks 4 times. Hi @joshbi, If you don’t have a DMM (digital multimeter) or know how to solder etc then it will be an expense and a learning curve before you can begin testing and replacing any parts. Not trying to dissuade you at all, just saying. If you have a DMM and know how to use it safely when exposed lethal AC voltage is nearby, then read on. If not don’t try it as it is not worth it, call the experts. The AC power is only on the power board but you will have to test the power board for other voltages to make sure that they’re OK. Here’s an image of the Power Up Boot Check troubleshooting flowchart, taken from the service manual. Going through the tests should hopefully find the problem.
