I have a LG 65UH6030 that suddenly stopped displaying anything on the screen other than a Grey backlit display and a static noise. There is nothing that shows on the TV including the volume level, LG Logo at power on, I cannot change inputs including casting from my phone, and I can not go into any Smart features on the TV. After the TV is on for about 5 minutes it automatically turns off. I have turned the TV off, unplugged it, held down the power button on the TV for 30 seconds then tried to turn on again with the same results. I have also changed the batteries in the remote. I am 4 months out of warranty on the TV and LG won’t do anything except send a tech for a minimum of 125 dollars. Any help would be appreciated…
@jjohnson1119 that is an interesting one. Going by what you are describing it sounds like a failed main board. I’d suggest that you remove the back of your TV and take a look at all the boards and the interconnecting cables. Check for burned traces, obviously damaged looking components like leaking capacitors etc. Post some pictures of your boards with your question so that we can see what you see.
