On Page 90, is the troubleshooting flow chart for the Current Trip error (i.e. 6 blinking lights), you can work through the flow chart to see if you come up with the same conclusions as LG. In the flow chart, the “IPM Check” is on page 87, and the “Compressor Damage check” starts on page 93 - this should save you the 10 minutes it took me to figure out what was going on in the chart. Also, a good check is on Page 85 and will give you a simple check of the Main PCB. Best case scenario is your have to replace the PCB Since you aren’t confident in the LG indication of a sealed system repair will resolve all your issues, you can also do the basic troubleshooting steps outlined in the manual. On Page 22, you will find the instructions for displaying an error code for your fridge. For any given error code, you can find the troubleshooting checks starting on page 26. After you work through the error codes (or if you receive no error codes), go to page 69 . You can enter test mode on the Main PCB to turn on/off the compressor, damper, fans and defrost cycle. Finally, on page 72, are the instructions on testing individual components. Let us know if you find other error codes or get stuck in one of the troubleshooting steps.
