The hinge has broken off from the palmrest and is not bending at all causing the bottom case to separate from the laptop when I try and shut the lid. The hinge is not broken. I cannot close the lid and the hinge is also moving the power port up and down. Please let me know what I can do to fix this.
@avicenna it depends on how and where the hinges are broken off. Most likely you will need a new palmrest assembly.
