Lock Sign On Device Does Not Go Away Even Though Hold Switch Is Off Ipod 5Th Generation Video

The screen of my iPod (5th Gen 80GB late 2006 model) is frozen. The lock sign is permanently displayed even though the ‘HOLD’ switch is off. I have tried to reboot, but the wheel does not respond. I even did a restore but even that didnt work. Can someone help, please?

@jsr68 ,ake sure that the slider is properly mated to the switch.

If it is, replace the headphone jack/ hold switch. Use this guide for that.
