I picked up my phone this morning, tapped the home button to enter my code. When I touched the first number to unlock the phone blasted a loud hissing noise. Tried playing a video, same noise, typing on keyboard, again loud hiss. loud static is the only sound it will make, can’t change the volume even though the vomume bar goes up and down, it remains loud static.
loud speaker may need replacement. Is it happening constantly or only a few times a day?
This is a common issue. Just needs a replacement speaker. Usually, the problem goes away on its own on newer devices (iPhone SE or later). Just give it some time to see if it stops. If the problem persists, you should get the loud speaker replaced.
