I am experiencing the same issue after replacing the lightning port. I was able to resolve it the first time around by tightening all the screws near the lightning port however after one week the static/ rain noise has returned. When I put the phone on speaker or if I plug into the headphone jack with mic, the noise disappears. Were you able to figure out how to fix the problem?
Clean the entire device with 91% isopropyl alcohol then let me know if it’s still doing this same issue.
