Asus G501VW-FY031T Any tips on where to find the connector part on motherboard that the integrated monitor cable attaches to? The connector is broken on my laptop, cable seems fine. It’s a 40pin (J4502/LVDS) connector and I have no idea what to call it so it’s hard to find replacement without buying the whole motherboard.
@ronkde pictures of connectors are always helpful. The other thing that works sometimes is that you let us know the exact model for your motherboard. That way we can check to see if there is a schematic that will help. You can also measure the thickness of the cable and the distance from point to point which will give you the pitch. With that do a search on places like mouser.com or digikey.com. Adding images to an existing question
