Hello, I’m having a little issue. I took my Mac Pro apart to clean it and when I put it all back together, I get no video and my monitors don’t turn on. I tried booting the computer with each video by itself and it doesn’t work either. The computer turns on, I can hear the hard drives boot up, all the fans turn on, just no video. What could be the issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Blow out the PCI slot. Reseat the video card. Test the monitor out on another machine. The only way I know to find out if my video card has failed is to put in a known working one. Fortunately I have more than one Mac Pro and use the same cards in both. The video card, in my experience, is the number one failure on the 1st and second generation Mac Pros. Next is the power supply.
