I have a 2013 Mac Pro cylinder. I was facing issue with powering it on, after multiple tries I used to successfully make it work. Later I realized that there is a problem with the CMOS battery. Now after replacing the CMOS battery, the unit is starting but all the 4 USB ports have stopped working. Thunderbolt ports, HDMI port & LAN ports are working perfectly fine. The USB is drawing the power but is unable to detect any devices including external keyboard and mouse. I’m able to access the machine with a screen share option from my other Mac. Under system report, this is what I’m getting USB 2.0 Bus: Host Controller Driver: AppleUSBEHCIPCIPCI Device ID: 0x1d26PCI Revision ID: 0x0006PCI Vendor ID: 0x8086 Hub: Product ID: 0x0024Vendor ID: 0x8087 (Intel Corporation)Version: 0.00Speed: Up to 480 Mb/sLocation ID: 0x1d100000 / 1Current Available (mA): 500Current Required (mA): 0Extra Operating Current (mA): 0Built-In: Yes BRCM20702 Hub: Product ID: 0x4500Vendor ID: 0x0a5c (Broadcom Corp.)Version: 1.00Manufacturer: Apple Inc.Location ID: 0x1d110000 Bluetooth USB Host Controller: Product ID: 0x828dVendor ID: 0x05ac (Apple Inc.)Version: 1.50Manufacturer: Apple Inc.Location ID: 0x1d113000 Can someone please help me with this
I’m suspecting the IO board data cable maybe not making contact on one or more pins. Go back to Step 16 here Mac Pro Late 2013 CMOS Battery Replacement
