Hi Ordered a replacement superdrive (MATSHITA DVD+/-RW UJ-857G) for my MacBook in november from you. Installment was easy but cant get it to run, need to upgrade my superdrive firmware. I need help find out what firmware its compatible to my OS (OSX 10.4.11) and the superdrive i bought from you. What I found so far: SuperDrive Firmware Update v2.0 (not working on my OS compatible up to 10.4.6) SuperDrive Firmware Update 3.0 (does not work on my System Requirements Mac OS X 10.5.7 or later) The only firmware that seams to work with the drive shipped to me is the notorious v2.1 http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa… thanks in advance, Andreas
This is a good question, As you can see, Apple no longer offer a download of it. Other sites I have looked at without success MacUpdateFindMySoftMacOSXHintsWareseeker Basically, I can’t find it. But you might want to read this if you do find it.
