Hi there, I have a friend who had the “Service Battery” warning come up for him a few months ago, and instead of taking it in to be serviced, he waited until the device fully shut down before looking into the issue. the battery replacement doesn’t work. The fuse on the F7140 is testing at 8.6V on both sides, so it is still intact. does anyone have a good guide on how to troubleshoot this problem? I have the schematic, the board diagram, and the soldering skills to do this repair. if anyone could help, I would appreciate it. Thankyou

We don’t go that deep here with our guides. I would recommend you find your way to Louis Rossmann’s YouTube vids He’s a bit crass so be warned. He is quite good in his diagnostic process. Search for the MacBook Air vids.
