Hi all, I recently replaced my original battery in my Macbook Air, using an Ifixit battery and following the guide. I did a battery calibration and then for the first 2-3 days after the replacement the new battery worrked flawlessly. I use the laptop till about 80% charge. The next morning i go to turn it on and it doesnt boot. I plug the charger in and try to boot, it boots but no battery is shown in the tool bar. If i disconnect the charger it instantly turns off. I cant acess any information about the new battery. I have tried using CoconutBattery:

I then followed this guide: MacBook Air Battery not even recognized after being Recalibrated I have tried: SMC reset (80s on the power button and 15s)PRAM reset When i plug my original battery back in, it is recognised by Coconutbattery:

Anyone have any ideas? could the new battery just be faulty? Thanks Update (07/04/2022) From further reading looks like this could be a faulty issue with the new battery.

Yep! The controller chip within the battery is bad. Contact the iFixit store for a replacement
