My MacBook Air 13-inch Early 2014 (A1446) refuses to boot at all, although the light on my MagSafe charger lights up (orange, then green when fully charged). I left it unplugged for a couple of days with an external hard-drive attached which, at first, I assumed had just drained the battery dry but, after running some amateur tests, I no longer believe this is the case. I have tried all of the resets, different cables/power sources and I’ve disconnected the battery but it still won’t boot, leading me to think it’s a logic board issue. Question 1) Do you agree that the problem likely lies with the logic board? Could it be the SSD?Question 2) Are there any other checks or tests that you would recommend? l have an old MacBook Air 13-inch Late 2010 (A1369) which still works, albeit very slowly. Question 3) Would I be able to replace by current logic board with the one from this model? What about the SSD (if relevant)?Question 4) If so, would this drastically reduce the performance of my current MacBook? Any and all advice will be gratefully received!
