Hello, Recently I have an OWC AURA SSD 960GB installed in my MacBook Air 13" 2015. BUT… Now the battery of the MacBook runs out very quickly with minimale use (internet and YouTube). When i charge the MacBook it takes hours before its charged. Also the CPU heatsink is getting warm (not hot) by minimale use. When I install the old original SSD there’s no problem and everything works fine. What causes this?
The SSD is the problem; OWC drives are not very reliable IMO, I stay away from them due to issues like this and also random boots where it cannot see the SSD. Either contact OWC for a replacement (you may have received a bad one), or that is just how the SSD is going to affect the MacBook
