My macbook had windows loaded on it not via bootcamp, however it was running windows through just a windows bootable ssd. The laptop is quite old, and no longer works however sometimes seemingly randomly (Can only get to happen once every few days) it will make the apple chime, display the windows logo then back to a black screen. Just wondering if theres any suggestions on a repair that I could do on this? Thanks
Most likely your battery needs to be replaced. But as we don’t have macOS on the system, there is no way we can tell for sure. I would grab a 32GB USB which to create a bootable macOS drive so you can run tools to check things. How to reinstall macOS For now, see if the onboard diagnostics gives you any clues. Restart your system and press the D key did you get any errors?
