Hello people. My MB doesn’t boot anymore. Whether on battery or on MagSafe, it doesn’t power on. I managed to change the DC-In board, but still doesn’t power on. MagSafe is working OK because it’s from an other MB. What’s the next step I should take? Is the MoBo TFU? Thanks and kind regards, Flavio. Update Hello Rick, and thanks for replying. MagSafe lights up green, but it’s not a “calm and fixed” green. It is a flickering green light. About the battery: should I watch under the MacBook if the battery LEDs light up when I press the power-on button on the MacBook itself? I’ll eventually be trying to reset the PRAM, as a next step. Thanks so far. F.

There are a few issues that might cause a MacBook to not boot up like you’re experiencing, such as a damaged power button on the top case (sometimes due to spill damage), a bad logic board, or other various small issues. Does the MagSafe light illuminate when plugged into the DC-in board? Is the battery receiving power (the level indicator should light up when the button is pressed)? Have you tried resetting the PMU/SMC by holding down the power button for 10 seconds while the machine is connected to AC power? You should see the sleep light flicker and hear a tone. If that doesn’t work, you might want to try resetting the PRAM. Hope this helps!
