My MacBook has a good charger and battery but will not boot. I took it all apart and gave it a good cleaning but to no avail. I tried a few things like the SMC reset but the light on the charger won’t change colors. I noticed that the power button is apart of the keyboard. Would it be possible that the keyboard is just dead thus making the power button not work either? I’ve tried doing the whole disconnect charger and battery, hold power, and reconnect it all but it won’t spontaneously boot either. Is this a motherboard issue all together, or just a dead keyboard that could use replacing?
To test the system you can use the power pads shorting across them
