I shut my computer off using the button of doom prior to installing upgraded RAM and battery. I am a novice at computer repai and was hoping to do a quick upgrade to my now 10yr old computer. My computer was working great up until that point. Since then I have tried powering it on many times. It won’t budge no sounds, or screen just black. My magsafe does show green and my battery indicator light shows 100%. Before the battery was fully charged it did show amber, but no blinking or dim lights. I feel like Ive tried everything short of replacing the logic board I have tried: Replacing the old battery and RAM.Trying every combination of old/ new battery and old / new RAM.Double checked thqt the RAM WAS SEATED CORRECTLYReseting the SMC & NVRAMunplugging the battery trying to run only on ac power.Holding power key for ten seconds, then pressing again.Disconnecting the keyboard and pwering with the powerpads on the logic board.Disconnecti g the keyboard and usingUnplugging the battery for 5 seconds holding the power button then plugging the battery back in.Powering with the battery and ac adapter. I Really dont want to have to replace the logicboard on a 10 year old computer, but I juat wantwed to see if anyone had any other suggestions.
