I found out from this lovely website that my repair centre has put magsafe of a MacBook Pro on my MacBook. What could be the consequences?

I’ve interchanged them for years. The only problem I’ve run into is using a 45 watt on one wanting a 65 watt. It doesn’t charge the battery. Else wise I’ve experienced no problems.

Don’t worry. A MacBook Pro adapter won’t hurt a MacBook. It might even work better, since it won’t get as hot. A MacBook adapter might fail to charge a MacBook Pro, and over time, might overheat, since a MacBook Pro requires more power than a MacBook. But the other way won’t cause any problems, and might end up better for you.

I have killed an adapter trying to power more wattage than what it can deliver. Will be fine the other way.
