Looking for some assistance with a MacBook Pro randomly shutting down when running on battery. Just before shutting down, the fans ramp up to full speed. Diagnostics showed the battery was faulty and was replaced. Since the battery replacement, the frequency of shutdowns has reduced by approximately 80%. Diagnostics show there’s still a minor issue with the battery, despite being new. No new software has been installed in the past 9-12 months, or major OS upgrades. System is running Catalina. Not sure what other hardware to check from here, has anyone solved this issue before? Any assistance is appreciated. Update (08/24/2021) The OS says the battery is 100% charged, and coconutBattery is providing some conflicting information:

After the OS showed 100% charge for the battery, the Full Charge Capacity bar in coconutBattery continued to slowly creep from the 96.3% shown in the screenshot to 100% over a timespan of approximately 45 minutes.

The OS level is looking at things from a workable standpoint Vs a true level. Think of it this way is the glass half full of half empty ;-} I trust CoconutBattery data. I don’t see any issues with your new battery I would watch things to see if things are messing up within the OS/App space. Are you getting kernel crashes? Review your logs.
