Hello. So recently i noticed that my macbook pro started turning on by itself. Everyday, i go to sleep, and i am waken up in the morning by the apple chime, when the lid is closed. I checked the last restart cause in terminal, and it reports that my computer restarts everyday at 11:46. Its really weird, i checked my schedule settings and everything that would make it turn off or log out by itself is not enabled. Do you have any idea whats going on? You likely have a drive-by app trying to install its self. Basically you visited an infected web site which downloaded an app often times its Adobe Flash installer (FAKE) as they telling you yours is out of date. Don’t fall for the scam! Even still they can still be sneaky getting it onto your system! Lets open Disk Utility check the left column for odd volumes (installer images) You’ll also want to run a good malware/virus app with the latest definition files. I have a external bootable drive just for this task.
