After installing a replacement battery from iFixit earlier this year, my Macbook has not been waking up from sleep unless plugged in (i.e. after I have the lid closed for some time). I press the power button and the dead battery/charge icon appears. It will only turn on when I plug in the power adapter, even then the battery will show a sufficient charge once it’s on. This morning it happened after it wasn’t plug it in over night, the battery was at 90% when it turned back on after plugging it in. I already tried doing the calibration charge/decharge cycle, and also resetting the SMC and PRAM/NVRAM multiple times, nothing seems to fix it. Apologies if this has already been posted about/resolved. I’ve already tired a google search, but no one seems to have the problem with the circumstances I have. Thanks for your help! You may have a bad battery, install this gem of an App CoconutBattery so you can see more clearly the batteries status. Post a snapshot of the Apps main window here so we can see it too.
