Dear people, I charged my MacBook last week on work and the next day it wouldnt turn on. Wen I press the on/off button literally nothing happens.. I’ve tried multiple chargers, power sockets and even left it in the charger overnight. I’ve left it off for a couple of nights then tried to charge it but it didn’t matter. Some info: The battery indicator on the side of the macbook doesn’t show any green lights when pressed. The little green light on the MagSafe charger burns BUT very dim, I almost couldn’t see it but I just noticed because it was dark in my room.. I was cut out from power at home because we just moved in so there was no electricity. I didn’t know that and plugged the charger in the wall anyway. The macbook was turned of at that moment but it didn’t turn on after that. How can I find out what the faulty part is, could it be the battery or could it be more serious like I short-circuited the logicboard. Is it safe to remove the battery and check if it works without battery but a plugged in charger? Please MacGods, save me and give me every suggestion you got. Many thanks and have a good day
The very first thing to do is to drop in a new battery. This should at least give us a better idea of what’s going on. Of course, that may be all it needs.
