Maytag Centennial Washer Model number MVWC415EW1 - started normal cycle and when it should have been done it was making this popping noise. No lights on the dash and lid was unlocked. Water in the drum and it did not make it to rinse or spin as the fabric softener is still in the dispenser. PLEASE HELP! I can’t get it to diagnostic mode either- I’ve tried the lock/safe turning the 2 different ways I found on Google and the lid 6 times in 12 seconds. Nothing is working to give me a direction: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KmsJeB3_…
@mommadoutt hard to tell without seeing it. It could be the relays clicking like crazy as well as water inlet solenoids. there seems to be a constant humming as well. I wonder if this is a direct drive washer or if it has a belt. Either way it could be drive related. You will have to take the back of your washer and take a peek. That way we can see what you see. @mommadoutt I am not sure if you are ready for this undertaking. It looks like a pain. Here are the instructions on getting to the motor and the belt. Unplug washer or disconnect power.Turn off the water supply to the washer. 3. Use cardboard or padding to lay washer on the front cabinet. 4. Disconnect hoses. 5. Remove pulley cover. 6. To remove the belt, pull out on the belt and turn the splutch pulley until the belt slides off. 7. To remove the motor, unplug the harness and remove the two (2) mounting bolts, see figure 1.
