I have a very new Maytag washer, model MVW7230HC, which died yesterday. When I say died, I mean the electronics. Nothing comes on at all. I have confirmed that the breaker for the outlet is not tripped and that the outlet is working. If I were a betting man I’d bet that there is a fuse or breaker in the washer that probably tripped, but I don’t have any idea where to look. After sitting on hold with Maytag for more than an hour I was told that it would take 7 days to schedule a technician to come out. Not 7 days for the technician to come out, but 7 days to schedule the time when the technician would come out! Maytag top loading washerModel #MVW7230HC Problem: Electronics do not turn on at all.

Hi @tomcamp , The trouble with opening the washer to find the problem is that given that the washer is “very new”, doing this will void the manufacturer’s warranty. Even if the problem is a blown fuse and not a faulty control board, then there’s always a reason why a fuse blows and the cause for this would have to be found, unless of course there was a power surge caused by an outage etc and even then the board could still be damaged. If it is a faulty control board for example, having voided the warranty it will cost you a lot more than waiting for a warranty repair, as they’re not cheap. Just my view on this.

Hi @fwfila1 I couldn’t find a free download but it may pay to invest in the service manual It should have the wiring diagrams and the diagnostic test procedure which may save a lot of time and energy.
