My mac’s screen is totally black and no sign of startup when I press the power button. I’ve done an SMC and PRAM reset although that doesn’t work. The battery has been charging but other than that it hasn’t done anything. Right around the time it stopped turning on, my sister spilled some water on it —> although I’m not sure how much. I assume it has some water damage. After researching for a couple days, I think I have to open it and clean the logic board maybe? UPDATE: After opening it and cleaning some of the dust off, this is what it looks like now: (pictures should be seen now) I can’t seem to find any water damage, although when I plug it in the adapter goes from green to orange— do i need to replace the battery?

Yep, you’ll need to open the system up and do a full inspection of the logic board for corrosion, stains and/or damaged components. Take some good detailed pictures so we can see where you find any issues and post them here for us to see Adding images to an existing question. Follow this IFIXIT guide: MacBook Pro 15" Retina Display Mid 2015 Logic Board Replacement. Use distilled water with cotton swabs (Q-Tips) to wipe down the corrosion. You may need to scrub a bit using a soft tooth brush do be careful! As you can lift the components off the logic board which you don’t want to do.
