Hello Mic and volume control doesn’t work on headphones but sound works fine. iPhone SE (iOS 12.3.1) I tried : my headphones on other iPhones : they work fine -> it’s not my headphonesother headphones on my iPhone in jack plug : they don’t worklightning EarPods in my iPhone : they work !I replaced the jack and lightning connector (using this guide) : nothing as changed !I restored a back up : nothing as changed. I suspect a software problem, but I don’t want to update to iOS14, I’m afraid it ‘ll slower my phone… If possible, I don’t want to use a jack-lightning adpater.
Do you have any other idea to help me, please ?!
So since this is the older SE what is most likely the issue is your headphone jack itself, have you had any issues with the phone charging? because the headphone jack is located on the same flex as the charge port. so most likely the issue, but you did replace it like you said so two options either A the new part was defective for the headphone jack or B it got damaged during the repair.
