my micro sd card reader wasnt reading sd cards. so i purchased a replacement and repair kit from this website. followed directions and it still doesnt work idk what could be the issue but nintendo online repair is closed still and im just really annoyed things just cant work.
Same thing as I had for 2 years, for me it was that you need to make sure the connecter is fully pushed in. If it still doesn’t work it may be a faulty socket on the board (don’t quote me on that).
I was in the same situation. After closer inspection, my socket was bad. I had missing pins. So I had someone replace it for me and it started working again. Replacing the socket requires micro-soldering, beyond my skills.
I am also in the same situation. I did notice that while the switch is on, I can get the switch to detect the replacement reader if I press down on the connector at a certain angle. But I need a more permanent solution. I can’t be playing with the back open like that.
