Chosen Solution

Hi, So I desoldered the broken connector clips for the screen and removed it & removed the connectors off the flex cable too. Will wiring it using wire and UV solder mask work as seen in these images of what I am trying to do:

The problem here is more complex as the issue is not the backlights connector it’s the ribbon cable fatigues at the edge of the logic board it wraps around. Even if you had broken the connector somehow, I wouldn’t have taken the path you took. Instead I would have replaced it with the correct connector. Patching lines should really only be used as a last resort when a trace is damaged not to bypass logic or in place of a connector. Time for a new display assembly ;-{ Apples displays now don’t offer replaceable cables.
