everytime i use a mic, instead of taking the audio of my voice and using that, it takes the audio of the computer and uses that. its any mic Update (11/08/2020) The computer im using is a different computer, its a desktop pc with no microphone built in, i have a headset that has two plugs, a mic and a headphone one and they both plug into the front of the pc

Hi, Some things to check: Has using the microphone via the front panel connection ever worked OK? If not, do you know what the PC case, front panel audio module type is? It could be either a HD audio or an AC’97 type module. The reason I ask is that they are connected differently to the motherboard and the settings are set to HD audio by default. See p.26 of the motherboard user manual for how the audio panel is actually connected to the motherboard connector and on p.71 how to configure the audio for the 2 different audio types available. If you have an AC’97 audio module then on p.72 Sect. C it details how to activate the AC’97 front panel audio. From p.74 onwards it shows how to set the microphone settings which may also be of some help.
