Hi When I switch my microwave’s power to high , the timer works, the light is on and it has the normal notice. But the food is not heated. When I use low or medium power, it then works. So what could be the problem? Seems a waste to throw it away. Thanks
Hi @daxu , What is the make and model number of the microwave oven? Some ovens have relays whilst others have solid state switching devices that the control board operates or turns on to switch in or out the correct power requirements as selected by the user. The circuit for the high power operation may be faulty and the oven would need to be opened and tested as to the cause. Working on microwave ovens is extremely dangerous if you don’t know what you’re doing. There is still potentially lethal voltage (>6000V) in the microwave circuit even when it has been disconnected from the power for some time. If you don’t know what you’re doing then don’t do it! It’s not worth it, leave it to the experts.
