My dad is looking for a part for his GE washing machine and his repairman told him he couldn’t get the part since the model number and serial number are missing from the machine. I find this hard to believe. Does anyone know another way of finding the model number/serial number? Update (09/03/2016) Thank you. The machine is 6-7 years old.
For top loader-the model/serial number may be found in the following places: 1 under lid, near the right hinge 2 exterior,on the back of the control panel 3 exterior front,bottom left corner 4 exterior back, near the water inlets
Inside the back of the machine there should be a wiring diagram. Check that. OR Get the part number from the timer, (Paper tag on timer) cross reference that.
