Hi, a while ago I opened my Mac Mini and a SMC Resistor (I think) fell out of the chassis and I have just got around to finding where it’s missing. It seems to be labeled “d L8p” and I can’t seem to find it on Google. I’ve attached images of the board.

Update (04/15/2020) Unfortunately, I lost the part. I believe it was that same capacitor (there’s a whole bunch on the board), Mine is the Mac Mini 2011 2.5GHz, and when I compare the board here: Mac mini A1347 (Mid 2011) 2.5 GHz Logic Board it’s almost exactly the same (coin battery is in the same place). The capacitor is there. Update (04/16/2020)

I don’t have the best camera in the world but I hope that’s good enough. Let me know if you need a zoom on a certain section. I should add that I was running the mac headless (through VNC, which does work) after the board stopped displaying out, but I want to repurpose it again

Well, I’ve got some news for you the part you circled is not a resistor it’s a capacitor. If you have something loose the part is not always present on the logic board where you pointed to as you can see here:

Can you post an image of the part you have so we can see if we can identify it.

@reedhaffner I realize that this is an old question but just for completion sake. The component is a Diode. It is a 40V 200mA schottky diode in a SMBG package
