I have a HP L1950 monitor and it powers on okay but turns black after 1/2 second then lights up again after 5 seconds then turns black again. When I hold down the power button it stays lit for as long as I hold down the button but when I release the screen goes black again.
‘’’++@liftnhop++’’’ most likely a bad power board. Common for that type of monitor. Disassemble it and check the power board the same way you would for a no power situation. Have you ever checked out the button itself. Its a switch and could be damaged. The replacement should solve that.
