Hello, thanks for your attention. I have an ACER XB270HU monitor, and it’s somewhat old now, but has operated great until a month or two ago.My monitor now blinks on and off at high brightness, anything over about 75% the blinking occurs at a faster and faster rate (it is a pattern that oscillates between on and off, and the rate exponentially increases the closer to 100% I get).The power LED doesn’t change, and remains steady. I think it might just be the backlight itself that is failing. I’ve tried replacing the power cable, power bar, and relocated the monitor to a different circuit in my house, but the issue persists. I think the displayport cable is probably fine, because I don’t have any issues at lower brightness.
Hi @l33t_beans, It may be more a case of the backlight power supply (capacitors, power transistors etc smps?) failing rather than the backlights themselves. Can’t find any images of parts for the monitor so if it has a separate power board post some close up images of the board in your question as something may be seen. Here’s how Adding images to an existing question Alternatively purchasing the service manual may be worth it as it has the schematics etc,. Just a thought
