How to fix my Monster Rove Bluetooth portable speaker? The charger port has broken and fell inside my speakers. Are there other ways to charge it??
Hi, There are no other ways to charge it. You need to open the speaker and access the motherboard so that the charge port can be reconnected onto the motherboard. I don’t know the speaker but suspect that it would be an SMD (surface mount device) type connector, so you will need to have SMD soldering skills and tools to do the repair. Here’s a link to a video that shows how to dis-assemble the speaker. If you haven’t the tools or the skills, take the motherboard (or entire opened speaker) along with the loose charge port connector to a reputable, professional mobile phone or electronics repair service and get them to do the repair. This should minimize the cost as you will have done the dis-assembly and tell them that you will do the re-assembly after the repair, thereby saving on the labour time component of the repair.
The speaker needs to be disassembled and the port replaced.
