Hi, Someone tried to repair my mother board but didn’t succeed. Is it possible to charge the battery externally and will the phone still work. It still worked before repairs but only when connected to charger. Thanks.
@odie63 this “It still worked before repairs but only when connected to charger.” sounds more like a battery issue. You did not tell us what they repaired on the logic board. Of course, you replace the battery already (if not then do so). Yes, you could charge the battery externally but this will be a bad way of keeping your phone functioning. There are board for sale on ebay and other places that you can use to charge a battery. You’d have to disassemble it so frequently that you are bound to run into trouble with it. I’d get a second opinion about the repair from people that specialize with that type of repair. Somebody like @refectio can probably guide you the right way.
