Hi i currently have a countax c600h with a honda gcv520/gcv530/gxv530 16hp engine. The carburettor has recently been rebuilt and all the fuel lines been changed, the fuel pump has been checked and works fine. However i can now only start the engine with the choke and keep it running with the choke, when i release it the engine dies. why would this happen? Is it not getting enough of something? Any help would be much appreciated Thanks James
Make sure the gas cap is vented and operational otherwise it will starve out when a vacuum is formed in the tank. If it restarts in say ten minutes and then dies out again, this is your most likely issue.
Carb needs cleaned. Easy
