my ASRock N68-VS3 UCC pc won’t boot? I get power but the cpu fan won’t work and like I mention before won’t boot
Hi, Some things to try: a)Try resetting the BIOS and check if this resolves the problem. Switch off and disconnect the power to the desktop and then gently remove the CMOS battery from the motherboard. Remember which way it was installed for when you go to reinsert it. Usually it is +ve on top Press and hold the desktop’s Power On button for 30 seconds to drain any residual power from the motherboard. This will reset the BIOS to its’ default settings so if you have any particular user defined settings in BIOS you will have to reset them if the PC starts OK. Also while the CMOS battery is out check the voltage of the battery. It should be 3V DC. If it is <2.6V DC replace it. Reinsert the CMOS battery into the motherboard, reconnect the power to the desktop and try to start the desktop. Hopefully it will be good to go. Here’s an image of the motherboard showing where the CMOS battery is located.

Here’s an image of what one looks like. You connect it to the chassis speaker pins (#17 in image above) Here’s a link to the beep error codes for Asrock motherboards.
