Okay so my camera turns on fine now, but when I try to zoom in on something the lens does not extend! I almost traded this darn thing in but I spent a considerable amount of money on it and I’m not one for being cheap. Can someone help me?
Hello again, Willard. I’m glad you decided to not trade it in, because this issue can definitely be solved, and it’ll be cheaper than a new camera! First, shut off the camera. Turn the zoom button all the way to the right or left and hold it in place for approximately 5 seconds. Release the zoom button and then turn the camera back on. This should retract the lens and it should work at that point. If it still doesn’t work, you might want to replace the lens itself.
