I was putting a new 2gb card in my camera and it says “Card unusable, please change cards” do I need to format it??
Hi @yunniethememe, Chances are, the card has an incompatible file system and needs to be formatted. You can do that either in camera (Menu->Setup->Format->Format Card) or on a computer. If you do it on the computer, select FAT32 as the file system.
They only support up to 2gb sd card, classic 4 or erlier cards only. Nowdays sdcard HC, Sdcard Ulra are available. They don’t work with these cameras.
